First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Shamsail Saraliyev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation Kazem Jalali.
During the talks, topical issues of developing inter-parliamentary ties, mutually beneficial cooperation in business, trade, economy, healthcare, security, a complex of bilateral relations between Russia and Iran in various fields were discussed.
Sh.Yu. Saraliev commented on the results of the meeting:
– Mr. Jalali noted: “Interregional cooperation between our countries is very important, since Iran and Russia are on a common front, we are neighbors, we have points of contact in various fields, including in the field of culture, where the Chechen Republic is in the forefront . You hold the Banner of Islam in your hands. Russian Muslims are very devoted to Russia.”
He answered Mr. Ambassador that it could not be otherwise. We Russian Muslims have no other Motherland. Russia is our country. Iran has been fighting against US policy for a long time, and our states need to unite so that in the end, as the Head of the Chechen Republic, Hero of Russia Ramzan Akhmatovich Kadyrov says, America and Western countries not only lift all their sanctions, but also apologize.
The Russian-Iranian political dialogue is based on the coincidence or closeness of the positions of the two countries on most issues on the world and regional agenda, in particular, building a multipolar world order based on international law, countering new challenges and threats from the United States and the collective West. We agreed with respected Kazem Jalali to continue our cooperation within the framework of parliamentary diplomacy.
