The exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine in the 107 to 107 format took place as usual. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Shamsail Saraliyev.
He stressed that difficulties arose during the exchange, but the parties were able to reach a compromise and transfer prisoners of war to each other. Among them were those who needed urgent medical care – they were immediately sent to the hospital.
“The guys who needed urgent medical care, there are more than five of them, were immediately sent to the hospital in an ambulance,” Saraliev said.
Also today, Commander of the Baltic Fleet Viktor Liina awarded the star of the Hero of Russia to the widow of Senior Lieutenant Valery Palamarchuk, who showed great heroism in battles with the enemy: he personally destroyed three tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and up to 30 soldiers.
