Sergei Zheleznyak: “Vladimir Putin’s speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos demonstrated the continued readiness of our country for cooperation”

“The speech of Russian President Vladimir Putin at the World Economic Forum in Davos demonstrated the continued readiness of our country for cooperation based on mutual respect for interests and an equal dialogue with all participants in international cooperation. The head of our state gave a clear analysis of the international situation, outlined the main modern challenges, suggested identifying priorities, called on the countries for a positive agenda and joint creation, “said Sergei Zheleznyak, a member of the State Duma’s international affairs committee.
According to the politician: “Vladimir Putin clearly and reasonedly showed how internal contradictions provoked by the crisis, as well as gross violations of human rights in different countries, can respond to global problems in the field of collective security. He called for abandoning unfair methods of competition between countries, including illegal sanctions, and openly discussing all emerging problems.

The key meaning, sounded in the words of the head of state, was the call to turn the efforts of world players towards the individual and improve the quality of life of citizens. The President drew the attention of the forum participants to the fact that the issue of social equality and living standards rose most acutely during a pandemic, which exposed conflicts and contradictions existing in different countries. Putin again called on countries to tackle the real issues of the people and not to look for those responsible for internal problems by appointing an external enemy from among competing countries. ”

The parliamentarian noted: “It is significant that the priorities proposed by Vladimir Putin to the world community, which our country implements in its policy, are based on the interests and well-being of a person, as well as ensuring his confidence in the future with state guarantees of equal access to education, healthcare, and opportunities for self-realization, a decent level of wages and social assistance.

Our partners and opponents must heed Russia’s call: only by prioritizing the value of each person is it possible to achieve harmonious development within society and in international cooperation, without creating new “hot spots” on the world map and without promoting an arms race.

Russia, represented by the head of state, stressed its adherence to the ideals of a multipolar world, deep respect for the identity and sovereignty of every nation, outlining the importance of developing international public institutions and the need for joint peacekeeping efforts in resolving emerging conflicts. “
