“It’s funny that the US military announced preparations for a cyber war with Russia just now. In reality, information attacks from across the ocean have long been taking place, and our country is ready to repulse them, while it’s clear that the US’s aggressive demarches in cyberspace will not make the world more secure and comfortable.” This was stated by a member of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Sergey Zheleznyak, commenting on information in the media about the deployment in the United States of cyber operations against senior Russian officials and businessmen.
The politician emphasized: “Obviously, to replenish military budgets and new types of cyber weapons, American warriors need an adversary whom they traditionally create in the person of Russia, as well as China and several other countries. Therefore, the topic of Russian interference in the election, the heroic reflection of the pseudo-cyber attacks of Russian hackers on American servers and other cybercrashes in the United States will be inflated in every way. The wording about the readiness to attack Russia, “if Moscow tries to intervene,” means that the Pentagon is already cooking up a fake news about the “hand of Moscow”, which supposedly elects a new US president instead of the American people.
By the way, Russia continues to offer cooperation on cybersecurity issues, but the US stubbornly ignores it. This in itself suggests that Washington is not interested in such interaction that is able to ensure the stability of the system to external influences and makes transparent far from friendly plans for American hawks.”
