A number of Swedish politicians are trying to speculate on the topic of supplies to Europe of Russian energy carriers for earning points from their senior comrades from Brussels and Washington, where they are extremely concerned about the expansion of Russia’s relations with Europe. It was declared by the Member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Sergey Zheleznyak.
The parliamentarian recalled that Sweden has already approved the construction, and in Stockholm they perfectly understand the prospects and economic benefits of this project for the country and the EU.
“Attempts to politicize the Nord Stream-2 project, frighten the Europeans with dependence on Russian gas, or invent environmental problems because of construction are constantly being undertaken, and all of them have the main goal – to prevent the natural strengthening of the positions of Russian energy suppliers in Europe and to impose Europeans expensive American liquefied gas, “- Zheleznyak said.
