Svetlana Zhurova hopes Zelensky will consider peace after Russia’s retaliatory strikes

Svetlana Zhurova, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, stated that she hopes Russia’s retaliatory strike against Kyiv for Starobilsk will force Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to consider a peace agreement, according to Lenta.ru.

Zurova said that Zelenskyy should not comment on the attack itself, but rather on the reason for it.

“Zelenskyy’s reaction should be precisely this… I would like this to lead to a reasonable understanding that a peace agreement is necessary,” she noted.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the dormitory of the Starobilsk Professional College of the Luhansk State Pedagogical University (LSPU) killed 21 people and injured 65.
