First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Svetlana Zhurova responded to the condition of direct military conflict with Russia named in Germany. In a conversation with Lenta.ru, the deputy said that reports about the war between Russia and Germany are part of the information war.
Earlier, journalists from the German publication Compact wrote that supplies of Taurus missiles to Ukraine could start a war between Germany and Russia. The authors of the material emphasize that the supply of Taurus missiles will also require the massive deployment of German soldiers in Ukraine. In addition, Germany will be forced to send its fighters to Kyiv. All this, according to the publication, “would inevitably make Germany a participant in the war,” especially in the event of a Ukrainian strike on the Crimean Bridge.
“The information war is now very significant; a lot is being said in the information field. The question is whether they will bomb and what targets they will bomb – Crimea? Crimean Bridge? – said Zhurova.
It is clear that at the diplomatic level there will first be an attempt to comment somehow, and then the question of their reaction
At the same time, she emphasized that the idea of a military clash with Russia would not be supported by the majority of Germans. “I don’t think the German population will like this very much and I don’t think Germany is really ready for war. The Germans themselves don’t like it all,” the parliamentarian added.
