The head of the French delegation at the 137th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Sophie Errant, spoke in favor of finding a solution for Russia’s return to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
“We believe that now is the time that both Russia and France have made efforts to find a solution to the current situation,” she told a TASS correspondent, answering the relevant question. “I know that this is difficult, but we need to negotiate for Russia’s participation in this organization,” the deputy said.
Errant also spoke out in favor of issuing visas for all parliamentarians to participate in the negotiations.
