In connection with the encouragement by the Canadian authorities of Ukronazism and neo-fascism

Deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation express extreme indignation and indignation at the cynical insult to the memory of the soldiers of the anti-Hitler coalition, committed during a meeting of the House of Commons of the Parliament of Canada on September 22, 2023. Canadian legislators found it possible to welcome with applause within the walls of the Canadian Parliament a Nazi veteran – 98-year-old SS man J. Hunku, who served the bloody Third Reich during the Second World War in the Waffen-SS Galicia division. This bacchanalia was timed to coincide with the reception by the Canadian authorities of the ideological heir of the collaborationist J. Hunka, the leader of the current Ukrainian regime, V. Zelensky, who is making another world tour in order to raise funds for the bloody massacre into which he dragged the Ukrainian people. Participants in this ritual honoring were also members of the Canadian government led by Prime Minister D. Trudeau, Western diplomats accredited in Ottawa, and activists of the Ukrainian diaspora in Canada.

The true sympathies of the Canadian authorities, directed from Washington and Brussels, are evidenced by the fact that the pro-fascist ceremony was broadcast without any embarrassment in the Canadian media, and only a wave of criticism and protests around the world forced the organizers of this action to try to save face. The ridiculous excuses of the Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament and the Prime Minister of Canada citing a lack of information regarding J. Hunka do not stand up to criticism.

Deputies of the State Duma view this outrageous event not as an accident, but as another step in the deliberate, calibrated course of Canada and the West as a whole to rewrite history to suit the political situation. It becomes completely obvious why for a long time Canada and a number of other Western countries, as well as Ukraine, which has joined them, do not support the anti-fascist resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly, which prohibit the glorification of Nazism and for which the overwhelming majority of countries in the world vote.

In Russia they honor their real heroes – soldiers of the Red Army and military personnel of the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition, including those Canadian heroes who fought against fascism without sparing their lives. During the Second World War, more than 45 thousand Canadian citizens died a brave death, whose graves insulted the Parliament and Government of Canada with their shameful actions. They grossly violated international law, trying to whitewash war criminals, sadists and murderers, in particular Ukrainian SS soldiers, who were responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians in the Soviet Union, Poland, Slovakia and other countries. The Nuremberg Tribunal unequivocally condemned their crimes, which have no statute of limitations. Such actions aimed at glorifying Nazism in legislative bodies also deserve judicial review.

No one is allowed to consign to oblivion the sacred memory of the tens of millions of victims of the Second World War who died at the hands of the Nazis and their collaborators, such as J. Hunka.

Deputies of the State Duma declare that they are ready for constructive interaction with all fellow parliamentarians who share our anti-fascist views and convictions, who are ready together with us with all determination to resist such attempts to glorify the Ukronazis and other Nazis of all stripes and their henchmen, to fight instilling enmity between peoples, racism, neo-fascism, Russophobia and other anti-human phobias, as well as advocating for the dissemination of historical truth and the memory of the heroes of the Second World War, who at the cost of their lives won our right to live, love, work, raise children and be happy.
