Recently, a number of terrorist attacks were inflicted on civilians in the Near and Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. More recently, terrorist attacks were carried out on a Russian A-321 aircraft in the Sinai Peninsula and Russian military pilots in the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.
The death of innocent people and the emergence of an atmosphere of fear on the streets of Brussels and other cities of the world, including the capitals of the world’s largest powers, reaffirm the vital need for immediate action aimed at consolidating the efforts of the entire civilized world in the fight against international terrorism.
Terrorist organizations, including the “Islamic state,” declared war on the whole world. The tragic events that have taken place testify to the inadmissibility of a policy of double standards in the field of combating international terrorism and any forms of aiding and financing terrorists. The Russian Federation persistently and repeatedly called upon the states of the world to unite to counter terrorism in all its manifestations.
Deputies of the State Duma reiterate their support for the proposal of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the formation of a space of equal and indivisible security and the creation of a broad international anti-terrorist coalition.
The State Duma stresses the importance of a comprehensive, coordinated approach to the fight against terrorism and calls for taking the necessary measures to neutralize terrorists, to suppress their financial and other organizational recharge.
Deputies of the State Duma appeal to the parliamentarians of the states of Europe, North America, the Middle East and other regions of the world, with a renewed appeal to support the efforts of the Russian Federation aimed at creating a broad international antiterrorist coalition under the auspices of the United Nations in order to protect peace and security in accordance with the norms international law.
