This important visit will certainly intensify the parliamentary dialogue between Russia and China.
The 10th meeting of the Interparliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the National People’s Congress of China was held in Beijing. The agenda included issues of countering sanctions pressure and external interference, trade and economic cooperation, preserving historical truth, youth and student exchanges. Vyacheslav Volodin and members of the delegation were received by the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
As part of the trip, I gave a lecture to students of Jilin University, where I have been an honorary professor since 2019. Chinese youth show a sincere interest in Russia, issues of cooperation and development of relations with our country, joint Russian-Chinese interaction in the world.
Moscow and Beijing have become the “centers of power” of the global majority, which is formed around the ideas and approaches of the leaders of China and Russia. And these ideas and approaches today reflect the principles of building a multipolar and fair world order.
