The Great Patriotic War taught us to see how evil grows on the soil of indifference, spinelessness and non-resistance. Today, the West rewrites the past, denigrates, questions the heroism of the victors and appropriates our victories.
But our memory becomes a shield in the war for truth and self-respect, for the right to be Russian.
Because the years 1941-1945 laid in our national consciousness the understanding of the Motherland, life, freedom, duty and other concepts and values that are sacred to us.
Today, when civilians are dying in Donbass, when blood is shed, Nazi torchlight processions and honoring SS heroes are again held throughout Europe. It is clear – fascism is alive. And he raised his head after a series of monstrous betrayals committed by our leaders in the 90s.
Therefore, today we honor the memory of our ancestors, pass it on to generations, think about how to correct our own mistakes, and about the choice that our people once again face.
