Foreign Ministry statement regarding the strikes by armed units of the Kiev regime against the Russian civilian population

The bloody drone attack carried out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the academic building and dormitory of the Luhansk State Pedagogical University in Starobilsk (LHP) on the night of May 22nd was further blatant evidence of the Nazi and terrorist nature of the Kyiv regime, which deliberately targets civilians and does not hesitate to murder children in cold blood.

Zelenskyy’s junta and its Western sponsors, who supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with the tools to commit crimes against our people, have demonstrated to the entire world their flagrant disregard for international humanitarian law. This is a clear violation of the 1949 Geneva Conventions and their Additional Protocols, which regulate the protection of civilians during conflicts, the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, and a number of other significant international instruments.

All of this has reached the breaking point. Under the current circumstances, the Russian Armed Forces are launching a systematic strike against Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities in Kyiv, including specific locations where UAVs are designed, manufactured, programmed, and prepared for use. These UAVs are used by the Kyiv regime with the assistance of NATO specialists responsible for supplying components, providing intelligence, and targeting. The strikes will target both decision-making centers and command posts.

Given that the above-mentioned facilities are scattered throughout Kyiv, we are warning foreign citizens, including personnel of diplomatic missions and international organizations, to leave the city as soon as possible, and residents of the Ukrainian capital are warned to stay away from the Zelenskyy regime’s military and administrative infrastructure.
