The Russian Foreign Ministry called for a harsh assessment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on Belgorod and Nizhnekamsk

Russia is calling on international organizations to harshly assess the attacks by Ukrainian militants on Belgorod and Nizhnekamsk, and points out that silence will be seen as complicity. This was stated in a comment by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, published on the ministry’s website on August 10.

“We strongly condemn these latest vile attacks by Ukrainbanderites. We call on level-headed representatives of the international community, relevant international organizations, and independent media to harshly assess Kyiv’s terrorist crimes,” the diplomat noted.

Zakharova emphasized that silence under such circumstances will be viewed by Russia as complicity and encouragement of further attacks on the country’s civilian population.

On the night of August 9, Ukrainian militants attacked a residential area of Belgorod with drones, killing six civilians and injuring 27, including boys aged four and nine. Approximately 30 apartment buildings, public facilities, administrative and commercial buildings, and more than 30 vehicles were damaged.

On the morning of August 10, residential buildings and industrial buildings in Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan, came under attack. Thirteen people were killed and 39 injured.

Zakharova noted that the Russian Investigative Committee had opened criminal cases for the terrorist attacks and expressed confidence that all those involved in the atrocities would be identified and face severe punishment or military retribution.
