Cooperation between Russia and Turkey is on the rise, especially in the economic sphere, Leonid Slutsky said. “Our cooperation in the trade and economic sphere is on the rise. Our trade turnover is growing slowly but surely. I think that our interaction will become a significant factor in the positive feedback in the development of infrastructure-significant economic projects between our countries. The construction of the Akkuyu NPP is of particular importance. The first unit will be completed in the near future,” the Chairman of the Committee said. He added that Russia and Turkey should soon begin making mutual bank transfers and “solve many other urgent tasks.”
Fuat Oktay, in turn, touched upon the development of cultural and educational exchanges, as well as cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, emphasizing the growth of tourist flow from Russia to Turkey.
The parties devoted a separate block to inter-parliamentary cooperation, speaking in favor of its further intensification.
