Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky held a meeting with Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Shobini Gunasekera. The parties discussed issues of interaction in a wide range of bilateral cooperation, including in the parliamentary dimension, as well as issues on the international agenda.
“Sri Lanka is an important partner for Russia. Cooperation is developing at an increasing rate. I am confident that our countries can take the dialogue to an even higher level,” Leonid Slutsky noted.
The Ambassador, in turn, drew attention to the growth of interaction in the humanitarian sphere, speaking out in favor of strengthening in matters of transport logistics and student exchanges.
