Leonid Slutsky took part in the opening ceremony of the Moscow International Model of the United Nations named after V.I. Churkin

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky took part in the opening ceremony of the Moscow International Model of the United Nations named after V.I. Churkin. Leonid Slutsky noted that the role of the UN is extremely high in the formation of a multipolar world architecture.

“Multipolarity must be absolutely real. Each country, its history, traditions, culture, religion, national language, and so on must become a separate pole of decision-making, a pole of power, a pole of influence in the new multipolar world architecture, the new system of world politics and international relations of the 21st century. For this, of course, the United Nations must remain at the head of the international hierarchy,” Leonid Slutsky noted.

The head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs stated that the new world majority has already been de facto formed. “Today, most countries on the planet support the ideas and approaches of the President of Russia for a multipolar world order,” he emphasized.

Leonid Slutsky added that today it is necessary to study the principles of the UN, to model its work in order to be ready to defend those principles and ideas that are truly Russian, originally correct. “There are professionals sitting in front of me, we are proud of you, we know that truly unique guys are coming after us, who in a few years will fully join the diplomatic profession,” Leonid Slutsky concluded.
