On December 21, the International Affairs Committee held a round table on the topic: “Russia in the Arctic: Challenges and Prospects” with the participation of leading experts. Its participants discussed behind closed doors the implementation of the strategy for the development of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation and ensuring national security for the period up to 2035, as well as possible aspects of the Russian chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021-2023. “The Arctic is of strategic importance.
