The State Duma has ratified the Agreement between the governments of Russia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on cooperation in the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
The document was signed in Moscow on September 26, 2025.
The explanatory note emphasizes that ratification of the agreement will facilitate the expansion of bilateral cooperation in areas such as satellite navigation,
space communications, satellite television and radio broadcasting and the use of related information technologies and services, the training and retraining of specialists from the Myanmar side, space exploration, planetary research, Earth remote sensing from space, space materials science, medicine and biology, the provision and use of spacecraft launch services, and human spaceflight.
