NATO’s arms supplies to Kiev to escalate conflict — Russian ambassador to Beijing

The continued supply of arms to Kiev from the United States and other NATO countries are a sure sign of the West’s wish to further escalate the Ukrainian crisis, Russia’s ambassador to China, Igor Morgulov, said in an interview the Chinese newspaper Huanqiu Shibao published on Monday.

“So far, actions by the United States and its NATO satellites indicate their wish to further escalate the crisis. Heavy weapons, including tanks of US and German manufacture, are being supplied to Kiev, and the possibility of sending fighter jets is also being discussed,” Morgulov said.

He stressed that such decisions were not made overnight.

“The effective management, maintenance and repair of such complex weapons would be impossible without the participation of NATO’s military specialists,” he stated. “Essentially, they are waging a hybrid war against Russia, and we see no signs that the enemy may wish to stop it,” Morgulov added.
