On July 25, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China Wang Yi and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Saleumxay Kommasith on the sidelines of ASEAN ministerial events in Vientiane.
The officials engaged in a fruitful discussion on various international and regional issues, with a particular focus on collaboration within ASEAN-centric mechanisms.
A key aspect of their conversation was practical cooperation in enhancing regional food and energy security, as well as the expansion of transport connectivity.
The foreign ministers of the three countries agreed to continue their contacts.
