Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov discussed with the Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, George Tsereteli, the role of parliamentary dialogue in overcoming the crisis of trust between the countries of the organization. This is stated in the message of the Russian Foreign Ministry on Thursday following a meeting held on the margins of the OSCE Ministerial Council (COM) in Milan.
“There was an exchange of views on topical issues on the European agenda and the role of parliamentary contacts in overcoming the crisis of confidence, establishing a constructive dialogue and cooperation between the OSCE participating States,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Lavrov December 6-7 takes part in the OSCE Ministerial Council meeting in Milan. Earlier, he spoke at the Ministerial Council meeting and met with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger and Norwegian Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Söreide.
