Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Health of Gabon registered the Russian vaccine against coronavirus “Sputnik V” as part of an accelerated procedure.
Panina noted that the registration of “Sputnik V” in Gabon against the background of its ban in Ukraine reminds one of Saakashvili’s statement in which he compared Ukraine with Gabon.
“At that time, many rightly objected to Saakashvili that after the coup in 2014, Ukraine began to yield to Gabon in many respects, which is a dynamically developing African country … Today, another reason has arisen to challenge such an equalization of Ukraine with Gabon. as Gabon will use the Russian vaccine, Ukraine will deprive itself of access to a strategically important drug, “Panina said.
The parliamentarian also recalled how the ex-head of the US Department of State Condoleezza Rice urged Ukrainians not to complain about life, since “in Liberia it is much worse.”
“Liberia, devastated by the civil war, is, of course, much inferior to Gabon. But the tendency is that Ukraine is moving intensively to where the“ first democracy in Africa ”is now, added Panina.
