The information war against Moscow has reached a new level. The leaders of Western states name specific dates for the “Russian invasion of Ukraine” and threaten with a harsh response. The broadcast in the studio of Channel One began with a listing of the latest events. Among them is a telephone call by US President Joseph Biden to Vladimir Putin, during which, according to Western media, the head of the White House warned his Russian counterpart about the serious consequences of “aggression against Ukraine.”
Presenter Olesya Loseva asked Dmitry Novikov whether a war should really be expected. “I think the war is already underway, albeit by specific means. It is hybrid. The military-technical components are by no means all of its elements, ”the deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasized.
In his opinion, Biden did not say anything special to Putin. This call was needed only to maintain hysteria in the information and political space of the West. Dmitry Georgievich named the goals of this campaign. He noted that a large-scale and long-term special operation is being carried out against two fraternal peoples – Russian and Ukrainian. Moreover, Ukraine is its main target. The Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation explained his idea: “Of course, Russia also suffers damage. In the eyes of Western society, we are portrayed as aggressors. Ukraine has huge economic costs. The task of the West is to keep Ukraine getting poorer. The poorer it is, the cheaper it will be put up at the auctions of world politics. And this fully meets the interests of the Western powers and big world capital. According to the plan of the West, Ukraine should become an even cheaper bargaining chip in its hands – that’s what we are talking about.
At the same time, Novikov continued, the information war has its own patterns. You can’t talk abstractly about the war for a long time, you need to constantly throw some kind of “texture” into the media. That is why “specific dates of Russian aggression” appear and embassies are evacuated with a spectacular picture of flags removed from buildings. “I do not agree with the statements that Ukraine will gain something. In addition to losing, economic losses and degradation, there will be nothing in Ukraine. And it is we who need to take care of the common interests of Russians and Ukrainians,” Dmitry Georgievich said.
The question was raised in the studio whether a situation would arise when Russia would be forced to send troops to Ukraine. Answering it, Dmitry Novikov made certain historical analogies. According to him, such a need will arise if the situation is somewhat similar to the situation in the 1940s, when the anti-fascist coalition led by the USSR was engaged in the denazification of a number of states. “Ukraine is not yet a fascist state, but if we take analogies with Germany, there are already some kind of 1920s,” said the deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. – There are already a lot of fascist formations, and tomorrow these outright Nazis may be in power. That’s when the need will arise for the entire world community to engage in the denazification of Ukraine, including by armed means. This prospect is the most terrible, and it is extremely important to prevent it.”
Dmitry Novikov agreed with the opinion that a military provocation could be carried out by Ukraine in the coming days. To the question of the host Anatoly Kuzichev, what should be the answer of Russia, the representative of the Communist Party replied: “If the aggression is obvious, then the answer to it should be full-scale. I believe that Lviv is not a Bandera city. And not Polish. Ukrainians and Russians also live there. And they have the right to reunite and live as part of their entire Motherland.”
Dmitry Georgievich responded positively to Putin’s meeting on Monday with the heads of the Foreign and Defense Ministry of the Russian Federation. According to the Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, in the current situation, it is necessary to analyze the situation every day and make the necessary decisions. “This is also a signal for the West that we are waiting, of course, for the negotiation process, we are waiting for a more serious, thoughtful and attentive answer on security guarantees. But we understand the dramatic nature of the situation, and in these conditions, diplomats should speak right now, and the military should be ready to have their say if the situation deteriorates sharply,” Novikov stressed.
He also drew attention to another important task of the multi-purpose operation, which is the current actions of the West. According to Dmitry Georgievich, by inciting hysteria around “Russian aggression”, Western experts have solved, among other things, the task of pushing the Beijing Olympics into the background in the information field. Therefore, concluded D.G. Novikov, the current US campaign, which is clearly directed against Ukraine, Russia and Europe at once, also has China as its goal.
