The prolongation of the conflict in Ukraine lies entirely on the conscience of the Kiev regime, armed with the collective West, Vyacheslav Nikonov, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, wrote on his Telegram channel.
The deputy noted that now tragic events are taking place in the DPR and LPR, and called the decision to evacuate women, children and the elderly from the territory of the republics correct. Nikonov also thanked the Russians who provided assistance to the residents of Donbass.
“The prolongation of the war, every new day of it, every human life taken away lies on the conscience of the Nazi Kiev regime. And we will not forget these crimes. As we will not forget those crimes that lie on the conscience of the collective West, which is now arming this criminal regime and prolonging its agony, ”the parliamentarian believes.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation in the Donbass in response to requests from the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics for help in connection with the aggression of the Ukrainian security forces. On the same day, Russian servicemen attacked ground targets of the Ukrainian armed forces.
As Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu previously stated, the Russian Armed Forces will continue the operation “until the set goals are achieved”, namely the protection of the population of Donbass, the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.
