The Communists in the State Duma have prepared an information and analytical material that reveals the historical experience of denazification, said Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation
The document is addressed to the President of Russia, members of the Security Council and other senior officials, said Dmitry Novikov on the air of Aurora Radio. “This information and analytical material reveals the historical experience of denazification. The world, Europe, our country has such experience. It was accumulated as a result of the Second World War,” explained the representative of the Communist Party.
Dmitry Novikov recalled that the process of denazification was carried out in all parts of Germany, but most consistently in the Soviet zone of occupation. “The task of the USSR was to eliminate the roots of Nazism associated with a specific socio-economic model. But a number of similar measures were carried out everywhere – both in the west and in the east of the country. These measures included the confiscation of the property of the fascist state and active Nazis, the punishment of war criminals, and countering the very possibility of a Nazi resurgence in the future. The latter involved a radical revision of curricula, the destruction of Nazi textbooks, the implementation of a new educational and cultural policy,” said the Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
He believes that all this needs to be deeply known in order to understand how to act in the denazification of Ukraine. “G.A. Zyuganov considered it necessary to present this experience in a generalized form for consideration by those who will have to make specific political decisions. Without studying this experience, we will either stumble out of the blue, or there will be no talk of any deep process of denazification in Ukraine,” Dmitry Novikov said.
