On September 23, in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, voting began at referendums on the issue of their entry into the Russian Federation. The course and significance of the referendums were commented by the Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Dmitry Novikov
On the air of the Channel One program, in which Dmitry Novikov took part, a fragment of Zelensky’s interview last year was shown, in which, addressing the residents of Donbass, the Ukrainian president urged them to leave their native land. This interview was one of the acts of self-disclosure of the Kyiv elite, which adopted the methods of terror and elevated them to the rank of state policy. This interview is the key to understanding the reasons for the start of a special military operation to protect the people of Donbass, denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine.
During the discussion, Dmitry Novikov characterized the terrorist actions of the Kyiv authorities and, in particular, stated that earlier “the Nazis constantly resorted to terror because they did not feel confident that they were right. This terror – Nazi, fascist, Hitler’s – was oriented not only outwards. And not only Russians, Serbs, Jews and Gypsies were sitting in concentration camps. The German population also sat in the camps – those who were not like-minded to Hitler. The Nazis saw them as a threat. The Nazis simply did not have confidence in their rightness. It could not exist, because a priori misanthropic ideas can only be expressed by an absolute minority.”
Russia is pursuing a fundamentally different policy in the Donbass, not resorting to terror against dissidents. “It is important to understand why? And the answer is simple: when you know that the truth is on your side and that the absolute majority shares your point of view, why do you need terror? If you are confident in the support of the majority, and the bulk of the people are your like-minded people, then terror is not needed, ”Dmitry Novikov emphasized.
Developing the idea about the plans of the Kyiv regime and its curators to break the historical connection between Ukraine and Russia, the representative of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation focused on an important point: “It is no coincidence that there are two very close concepts in the Russian language – a large and a small Motherland. These concepts are not in conflict, because the small homeland is part of the big one. A person can leave a small homeland due to life circumstances, but remain within the framework of a large homeland. For example, he may move to a new place with his family in order to realize himself professionally. A person can also leave the great Motherland, but remain faithful to it. Those who fought Franco in Spain were forced to leave when their cause was lost. But it is known that the son of Dolores Ibarruri died in the fight against fascism on the battlefields in the Soviet Union. This means that he remained faithful to his homeland and his convictions. There is one more option. A person can leave his homeland and then act against it, going over to the other side, turning out to be a scoundrel, a traitor. Such facts also exist.
Those who participate in the referendum in the Donbass, unlike Zelensky, do not have a conflict between the concepts of a large and small homeland, Dmitry Novikov is sure: “The big homeland for them is the Soviet Union, Russia, and the small homeland is where they live. And they do not want to leave their small homeland at the will of others. They simply want to harmonize these two concepts, to connect the two parts of the Motherland. These are the goals they are striving for.”
The first day of voting in the referendums showed a higher turnout than expected. Giving an explanation to this fact, the deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation emphasized: “People do not want to wait. They do not want to postpone their voting until tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. They have been waiting too long for a normal life and their return to their homeland. For them, this is an important, fateful choice. Even one or two days they do not want to wait! People are rushing to cast their vote.”
Dmitry Novikov compared the referendum in Donbass with the practice of two or three days of voting in elections in Russia and pointed out the difference between the two situations: “The three-day vote in September showed that there was no need for it! For three days, the turnout in the elections has not increased! This means that in a stable situation, it can be safely canceled and in the future not to resort to these methods. But in the Donbass, multi-day voting now really makes sense. It has to do with security issues. At the same time, it is important that people there still want to speak out as soon as possible. Therefore, the results of the vote, in my opinion, are obvious.”
The other day, US Secretary of State Blinken held a meeting with Tolokonnikova, a member of the infamous Pussy Riot group. Russian media said that Blinken was dating outright freaks. “Yes, for Russian society, these are freaks. But after all, if they are received by high-ranking representatives of the American administration, then someone needs it, right? – said Dmitry Novikov, paraphrasing the famous words of Vladimir Mayakovsky. – So, they want these freaks to become not freaks, but mainstream. They want it to be the main trend and he was guided by the Russian youth, and, if possible, the middle generation. And then – so that the pensioners put up with it. This is how a certain kind of “ideals” are being formed, no matter how ridiculous and terrible it may sound.”
The representative of the Communist Party drew attention to the fact that the contacts between the ruling circles of the United States and the Russian “fifth column” are quite natural. Both of them have similar ideas about morality, ethics and the boundaries of what is permissible: “Let’s remember another batch of scandals with Hunter Biden, a lover of women“ for money ”… But it’s the billionaires who are the best at counting! And they don’t overpay prostitutes. And they know that the more prostitutes, the less they can be paid. Here is the world that is being created with the help of tolokonnikovs! But Hunter Biden is a member of the family of the President of the United States! And he never once said that his son was wrong, that he condemned him. So, maybe this is normal for Biden Sr.?! And these people are talking to us about the rule of law, human rights, and even about international law!”
Their actions in the West are usually explained by the defense of democracy and law. “Recently, at the UN General Assembly, Vučić perfectly recalled what “international law” is and how the Serbs felt it, Novikov said. “But don’t we ourselves know what this right looks like?” What, Gorbachev was not loved in the West? Loved! It was under Gorbachev, who became not only the Secretary General, but also the President of the USSR, that a special body appeared to comply with the Constitution. But did anyone in the West get horrified when Yeltsin, Shushkevich and Kravchuk signed their vile documents in Belovezhskaya Pushcha? Did they take as a basis the decision of the constitutional body? One of them said: “Come on, gentlemen Yeltsin, Kravchuk and Shushkevich, let’s follow the decision of your constitutional body! We are for the rule of law and international law!”?
Dmitry Novikov recalled about October 1993: “Soon there will be another anniversary of the events when the Supreme Soviet and the Congress of People’s Deputies were shot in the center of Moscow. Maybe then the US and the European Union were horrified? But then, too, there was a decision of the Constitutional Court of Russia! Maybe in the West they raised this decision of the Court and the decisions of the highest representative body – the Congress of People’s Deputies – to the shield? No! Not! They said: “Bravo, Yeltsin! We support you!” What is this, international law? Yes, they are just funny to listen to! In the situation that has developed today, it is precisely those who are outside of NATO who are in favor of international law. This is both Russia and China. These are, in particular, those who were going to the SCO summit in Samarkand… Fortunately, we are in the majority. We need to make sure that this majority becomes even stronger than the minority that threatens the whole world!”
The speech in the studio turned to the attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. The destruction of the civilian population of Donbas characterizes the actions of the Kyiv authorities as outright genocide. “Those who do not give up cannot be defeated,” said the deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. – True, those who do not surrender can be destroyed. And the Kyiv regime had such goals in relation to Donbass. Clear evidence is the constant shelling of peaceful neighborhoods. Moreover, those hours are chosen when people are probably at home – and then they hit the residential area. When it’s the middle of the day and people can be in shopping centers or markets, they hit them there. Thus, sometimes those who do not give up can be tried to destroy. But, fortunately, we do not have that case! Behind the back of the Donbass, which did not accept Nazism, raised an uprising and began to equip life in the DPR and LPR, there is Russia. And it will help these people win back their legitimate right to life and a better future.”
What would happen otherwise? What would happen if the Nazis with impunity “ironed” these people, destroying and creating genocide? Who would stand up for them and protect them? Having asked these questions, Dmitry Novikov also suggested the answer: “Antonio Guterres would probably condemn such massacres. People around the world would sympathize with Donbass. And in Hanoi, and in Minsk, and in Havana, and in Managua, there would be many sincerely worried people. Many would have wept both from a sense of the injustice of what is happening, and from a sense of their own impotence. But, fortunately, Russia and all of us are capable of stopping the genocide in Donbas.”
In those very minutes when this program was on the air of Channel One, a mass rally was taking place in the center of Moscow. It was addressed by the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation G.A. Zyuganov and representatives of other political forces in Russia. They expressed the common opinion of the multinational people of the country on the need to protect the choice of the participants in the referendum on the historical reunification of Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye with their great Motherland.
