Alexey Chepa called the AFU attack on Kuban a terrorist act

Alexey Chepa, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Krasnodar Territory, which resulted in casualties. Speaking to Lenta.ru, the lawmaker described the incident as a terrorist act and linked it to the Ukrainian side’s situation on the front line.

In Chepa’s view, Kyiv is resorting to blackmail and terrorist acts against the backdrop of a catastrophic situation in the combat zone. The MP noted that these actions are driven by the unfavorable turn of events for Ukraine, as well as a desire to influence the US position regarding the future resolution of the conflict and the approaches taken by a number of European states.

Chepa added that the pressures facing Kyiv are forcing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to yield certain positions. At the same time, the politician noted, the Ukrainian side is attempting to demonstrate strength, yet what is actually taking place amounts to nothing more than terrorist acts.
