I extend my warm greetings to the organizers and participants of the international scientific and practical conference “Traditional Religions of Russia: Contribution to Strengthening Unity and Societal Development,” held to mark the 10th anniversary of the Spiritual Assembly of Muslims of Russia and the 15th anniversary of the Moscow Muftiate.
For many years, under the leadership of Mufti A.R. Krganov, these spiritual institutions have played an active role in the socio-political life of the Russian Federation, supported the implementation of social projects, conducted valuable educational and scholarly work, and done a great deal to promote traditional values within society.
Your conference, taking place during the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia, is also intended to contribute to strengthening interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony. A key factor in its success is the participation of representatives from government bodies, as well as religious, civic, and expert communities from our country and a number of other nations.
I am convinced that the discussions will be constructive and will serve to strengthen trust and mutual understanding among peoples.
