The State Duma has ratified the Agreement between the governments of Russia and India regarding the temporary employment of citizens of one state within the territory of the other.
The explanatory note states that the implementation of this document will create favorable conditions for the effective regulation of labor migration flows from India to the Russian Federation, ensuring that their volume, direction, and structure align with Russia’s socio-economic development interests.
The Agreement applies, among others, to workers studying full-time in the host country at institutions of secondary vocational or higher education, or at scientific organizations, who engage in temporary employment outside of their study hours.
