Dmitry Novikov: “NATO’s Statement on a Unarmed World – a curtain to conceal US actions”

Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation; First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, spoke on NATO’s ideas about a world without nuclear weapons

NATO’s goal is a world without nuclear weapons, the alliance’s secretary general said. Jens Stoltenberg also noted that the Alliance opposes nuclear weapons, but will get rid of its arsenals only if Russia and China do it. Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, commented on the statements of the NATO Secretary General.

“One of the first decisions of US President Donald Trump was to increase military spending. Therefore, despite this kind of statement, it becomes clear that in the current situation, when it is obvious that the US is initiating the breakdown of the INF Treaty, some kind of” peace-loving “statements are needed which can serve as a smoke screen for real US actions, “Novikov said.
