Sergey Zheleznyak: “The main task of Russia is to help end the war, save lives and respect the rights of the people of the DPR and the LPR”

Member of the Committee on International Affairs Sergey Zheleznyak:

“Poroshenko during the election campaign continues to fantasize about his triumphant victory in the elections and misleads Ukrainian voters, promising accession to the EU, NATO and the return of the Crimea. Now his sick imagination draws pictures of the peacekeeping contingent entering the territory of Donbass to the borders of Russia. ” So commented on the statements of the President of Ukraine, member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Sergei Zheleznyak.

The politician stressed: “Russia as a member of the UN Security Council will not allow manipulations in Kiev, which intends to try once again by force to resolve the conflict in the Donbas under the guise of introducing a peacekeeping mission.

We are categorically against such provocations of Kiev, violating the Minsk agreements, enshrined in the UN Security Council resolution. People in Donbas are killed on the contact line with the Ukrainian troops, and not on the border with Russia. Our country will not allow the use of UN peacekeeping powers for the Ukrainian authorities to crawl in the Donbass. ”

“The Ukrainian authorities, under the auspices of the United States, artificially maintain a hotbed of tension and create controversy around the peacekeeping mission in Donbas, designed to ensure the safety of OSCE observers. The main task of Russia remains to contribute to ending the war, preserving lives and respecting the rights of residents of the DPR and LPR, as well as the transition to a peaceful and civilized process of settling relations between Ukraine and the Donbas on the basis of the Minsk agreements, ”the parliamentarian stressed.
