“The Ukrainian authorities are terribly afraid of unfavorable truth, so they turn the observation of the presidential elections into a closed process that is inaccessible to Russian observers, which is a gross violation of the key laws of democracy. It is also obvious that in the conditions created by the leadership of Ukraine, the presence of Russian observers at the elections is unsafe. ” So a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Sergey Zheleznyak commented on the refusal of the participation of Russian observers at the presidential elections in Ukraine.
He noted: “The current authorities of the“ Square ”are trying in every way to prevent observers from assessing the level of compliance with the law during the presidential elections in Ukraine, which obviously cannot do without falsification and fraud. The entire election campaign was accompanied by scandals in the camp of candidates, mutual revelations, demonstrating the depth of contradictions within Ukrainian society. There is a lack of real strong national leaders who want prosperity for their country and citizens. ”
The parliamentarian also added: “In the remaining days before the elections, we are unlikely to get an international assessment of the situation in which more than three million citizens of Ukraine in Russia are deprived of the opportunity to participate in the elections of the head of state, since the leaders of the Square decided not to open items voting in our country.
It also remains an open question how the Ukrainian authorities can consider legitimate elections without the votes of Donbass, which Ukraine seems to consider its own, but continues to kill people living in the territory of the DPR and the LPR. Obviously, the proposal of the representatives of the Ukrainian authorities to the residents of the republics to take part in elections outside the Donbass is provocative, since visiting the territory controlled by the SSU together with nationalist gangs will be life threatening for citizens of the DPR and the LPR ”.
