The adoption of the law on the exclusivity of the Ukrainian language directly violates the declaration on human rights. About this April 25, “Duma TV” said a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, the deputy of the EP Elena Panina.
“There are a lot of people in Ukraine who speak Russian, those for whom it is native. This does not mean that they do not recognize the Ukrainian language, but freedom of choice must, of course, be beyond the people,” said Panina.
According to her, the text of the law adopted by the Rada is blasphemous.
“That is, a Russian-speaking person who is forced to seek medical help, unable to express himself in Ukrainian, should be denied treatment. What human rights can we talk about? ”The parliamentarian noted.
The deputy believes that this is not the last law signed by the Verkhovna Rada and the outgoing President Petro Poroshenko. “Now they use the same tactics that the US Congress applied to Donald Trump when he became president. Rada began to quickly adopt new laws in order to tie the president who has not yet assumed office. This is almost directly stated – that Zelensky will be tied up in such a way that he will not be able to negotiate with Russia in any way, ”Panina said.
She notes that Ukrainians will apparently read Russian classics in the Ukrainian language.
