The discussion on Brexit in the British Parliament is far from the idea of a civilized discussion, said Anton Morozov, a member of the State Duma’s Foreign Affairs Committee. On Wednesday, the House of Commons of the British Parliament, contrary to calls by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, supported the idea of postponing Brexit if there is no agreement with the EU. “The Brexit theme will continue to fever British society. It is possible that Boris Johnson will not reach a final decision on Brexit … As the whole discussion in the parliament took place, frankly, this is far from our ideas about a civilized discussion, ”Morozov told RIA Novosti. At the moment, the situation around Brexit is at an impasse: the country’s parliament is opposed to the agreement with the EU in its current form, but it is categorically opposed to Brexit without an agreement. The EU refuses to resume negotiations and revise the agreement. Johnson insists that Britain will leave the EU on time – October 31 – with an agreement.
