State Duma deputy, member of the Foreign Affairs Committee Elena Panina proposed to move the UN headquarters from New York. She wrote about this on her twitter, commenting on the initiative of the Russian Foreign Ministry on transferring the work of the UN Committee on Disarmament and International Security to Geneva or Vienna.
According to the legislator, the next step should be the transfer of UN headquarters to those countries that are interested in the normal functioning of international institutions. This, in particular, may be about Switzerland, France, Russia.
