Responding to the Ukrainian proposal to “dissolve” the governing bodies in the DPR and LPR, Putin recalled that the legitimacy of the DPR and LPR authorities was enshrined in the citizens ’vote, and the Minsk agreements are signed by representatives of Donbass precisely at the request of previous Ukrainian authorities, which indicates recognition of the DPR and LC. An important signal of our president was the readiness expressed at any time to extend the START-3 Treaty. Obviously, the destruction of START-3 will open Pandora’s box and destroy the international security system through an arms race. Russia clearly understands this and expects that the US leadership will be distracted from the internal struggle of the elites and return to solving real-life tasks, ”the deputy believes.
He noted: “The President’s attention was also paid to the problem of relations between Russia and Europe. The head of state opposed illegal restrictions in the economy, legal and humanitarian spheres. At the same time, the President reasonably demonstrated the harm of anti-Russian sanctions for Europe and the opposite effect in Russia, where import substitution was actively working. ”
