“It seems that a lot of political scientists and political strategists inside Russia, as well as their colleagues, Kremlin scientists abroad, have been left without their main job today,” said State Duma deputy Yelena Panina (United Russia) commented on Vladimir Putin’s consent to consider zeroing out the presidential term in case of a positive opinion of the Constitutional Court on this issue.
According to the deputy, now the agenda of the “transfer of power”, which has long harassed the expert community, has been exhausted.
“The scale of constitutional changes is so large that, in essence, we are talking about a new quality of the constitution, which makes it logical to pose the question of zeroing the presidential term. Now the intrigue is over, Putin has decided to remain at the helm – despite the tangible front of the “capital beau monde” and pressure from some elites promoting various scenarios for the incumbent president to leave the highest state post, ”Panina emphasized.

“If people feel that a movement is beginning to improve their lives, the situation in the field of healthcare and social security is changing, then in absolutely any election Putin’s candidacy will remain uncontested.”
