Anton Morozov: “Termination of the Flynn case will put an end to anti-Russian hysteria in the USA”

Member of the State Duma Committee on Foreign Affairs Anton Morozov believes that ending the criminal prosecution of ex-adviser to US President Donald Trump on national security Michael Flynn will be a prerequisite for ending the “anti-Russian hysteria” in the United States.

The case against him was one of the main components of the “Russian investigation” of Special Prosecutor Robert Muller. According to the results of the investigation, Muller accused a number of Russian citizens of interfering in US elections with the filing of the authorities of the Russian Federation (the Kremlin denied this). Trump criticized the Flynn case many times and did not even rule out his return to the administration.

“I believe that this will serve as a reason for ending the anti-Russian hysteria in the United States. Exposing the unproven accusations of Russia in the context of this case will serve as a reason for our American partners to think about the feasibility of stopping throwing fakes and still establish constructive bilateral cooperation,” said parliamentarian RIA Novosti.

The deputy stressed that the Russian Federation is interested in normalizing relations with the United States and developing full-scale cooperation, there are many tasks on the bilateral agenda, the solution of which is hindered by “Russophobic sentiments” and “anti-Russian fraud.”
