Elena Panina on the article by the President “75 years of the Great Victory: a shared responsibility before history and the future”

According to the politician, in developing the ideas of the head of the Russian state, it is necessary to think about practical steps aimed at counteracting falsifications of history and protecting the historical truth about the events of the Second World War.

“Vladimir Putin absolutely correctly raises the question of the inadmissibility of the heroization of Nazi accomplices, of equating the invaders with the liberators.

To clearly demonstrate the difference between the first and second, it may make sense to create a “Museum of Collaborationism” and devote its exposition to the theme of aiding fascism in all shades and faces of this phenomenon, ”Panina noted.

According to the politician, certain sections of such a museum can be devoted to the indulgence of the Nazi aggressive plans from London and Paris, which resulted in a conspiracy of Munich and the subsequent destruction of Czechoslovakia, the relations of the Polish authorities with the Nazi regime before the Second World War, and the atrocities of Bandera, Estonian and Latvian SS men who are heroized today in the post-Soviet states, and secret contacts of London and Berlin already during the Second World War.

“Do not forget about the economic aspects of collaboration, about the support provided to Hitler by the financial and industrial giants of Europe,” Panina said.

“The creation of such a museum will be a response to the activities of a lie factory that has been operating for several decades, denigrating the liberators and glorifying criminals,” Panina stated.
