So the State Duma deputy, member of the International Affairs Committee, director of the RUSSTRAT Institute Elena Panina commented on the events unfolding around the presidential elections in the United States.
“Today, the American establishment is making it clear that it no longer needs this tool, that it is no longer going to rule, relying on the theory of separation of powers. The decision of the Supreme Court, which Trump hoped for, is devalued in advance, the status of this structure as the “supreme arbiter” in American politics has been reduced to zero, ”Panina said.
According to the politician, despite all conceivable and inconceivable violations in the presidential elections, the new administration will continue to “spread democracy” around the world, using this slogan to change unwanted political regimes.
“At the same time, I would like to believe that the number of“ useful idiots ”(and this is not a curse, but a term from Western political propaganda – that is how the peace fighters who sympathized with the USSR were once called) among the supporters of“ color revolutions ”will significantly decrease.
If before these presidential elections some naive people could still believe in the sincerity of the “democratizers”, now, apparently, there will be almost no such people. “Color revolutions” are becoming the lot of cynical and unprincipled mercenaries who deliberately destroy states and societies, ”Panina stated.
