Elena Panina: The Collective West, in order to solve its problems, actively uses the image of Russia as an enemy

The collective West, in order to solve its problems, actively uses the image of Russia as an enemy, and even sane politicians and leaders obediently repeat the mantras about “toxic” Russia, Elena Panina, a member of the international affairs committee, told RIA Novosti, commenting on the Czech intelligence report.

Earlier, Czech intelligence in its 2019 report said that the world is facing the threat of a new world war. According to analysts, the global conflict is currently “in its first stage.” In addition, “the worldview of those who can and wish to actively participate in it is being formed, and the technological tools with which it could be controlled are gradually determined.” The authors of the report cite rivalry between the United States, Russia and China as a possible cause of the conflict.

The politician drew attention to the fact that the report reflects the situation for 2019, and since then the situation has only worsened.

“To solve its internal problems, the collective West is actively exploiting the” image of the enemy “, the role of which Russia has been arbitrarily assigned. In the past few years, anti-Russian provocations have followed a continuous succession, absurd accusations have been going one after another,” Panina said.

The MP stressed that the emotions of fear and hatred directed at Russia are cultivated not only in the souls of ordinary people: these impulses “accumulate in the minds of officials, the military, political decision-makers,” which, according to the MP, does not pass.

Panina recalled the plot of the famous Stanley Kubrick film “Doctor Strangelove, or how I stopped being afraid and fell in love with the bomb, where an American general, without notifying the US President, launches a nuclear attack on the USSR.

“The difference between the 60s and today is only that in the XX century progressively thinking people in the West tried to resist the incitement of hatred. Today even sensible politicians, public figures and cultural figures do not dare to oppose the“ general line ” and obediently repeat the mantras about “toxic” Russia, ”said Panina.
